Effective date: September 27, 2026
This policy explains what information FLUX collects, what stays on your device, what is sent to our server, and what is visible to other players. It describes the game as it is actually built.
In short: anyone can play FLUX, including children, without giving any personal information. Every pilot starts with a name picked from a word list; a typed name can only be one word, never a full name, email, phone number or link. We keep only what the game needs to run: a random player identifier, your scores, your pilot name and the country you pick. We never know your precise location. FLUX has no ads and no third-party trackers; it counts anonymous gameplay statistics on its own server only (section 9).
FLUX is operated by Jerome Tadaya, a sole proprietorship based in Union City, California. Contact: playfluxofficial@gmail.com.
Your pilot name, also called your FLUX ID, starts as a name
made from a fixed list of safe words and a number, for example
SWIFT COMET 42. FLUX gives you one when you first play, so you never
have to type anything.
You can change it with EDIT. A typed name must be one
word, letters and numbers only, up to 12 characters, so a full
name cannot be entered. Names that look like an email address, a phone
number or a web link are refused, and names on our blocked list are shown as
PILOT. Please use a nickname, not your real name, because your FLUX ID
is shown publicly (see section 6).
Our server only accepts names that follow these rules. If any other text arrives (for example from an older version of the game), the server shows that pilot's own name from the word list instead. Names typed in earlier versions of FLUX that do not follow these rules have been replaced this way, and their old text has been deleted from our server.
You pick a country from a list. If you do not pick one, FLUX suggests one based on the country that Cloudflare, our hosting provider, reports for your connection, and you can change it. FLUX only ever uses a country, never a precise location. It does not use GPS or location services, and it does not look up your city, region, postal code or coordinates.
FLUX does not ask for a name, email address, phone number, date of birth, photo, contacts, or precise location.
playerId) created on
your device the first time you play. It is not derived from your device,
your account, or anything identifying you. It is used only to run the
game (see section 10).FLUX stores the following in your browser's local storage. It is not transmitted anywhere unless listed in section 5:
| Stored | What it is |
|---|---|
| Pilot name, country, difficulty | Your settings |
| Personal best score and level | Per difficulty |
| Player identifier | Random value described above |
| Restore in progress | Present for a moment while a restore code is being applied, then deleted |
| Move already tried (fluxMoveTried) | At FLUX's old address only, and only until the browser tab is closed: a marker so the move to fluxsparta.com is tried at most once per tab |
| Stay at the old address (fluxMoveStay) | At FLUX's old address only: a marker that this browser already has a different pilot at fluxsparta.com, so the pilot here stays here and is not moved |
| Owned skins | Local cache of purchases |
| Pending score submissions | Runs finished while offline, queued for later |
| Chosen background and selected skin | Appearance settings |
| Last submission error | A short diagnostic code, no personal content |
| Where you first came from | The "src" tag of the first FLUX link you opened (for example tiktok), or direct; used for the statistics in section 9 |
| First run counted | A marker so your first run is counted once |
| Current sitting | When your current sitting started and how it stands (runs played, the last game over), so each sitting is counted once; used for the statistics in section 9 |
| First run's length counted | A marker so the length of your very first run is counted once |
Clearing your browser data or deleting the app from your Home Screen removes all of it. We cannot recover it, and we cannot see it. If you saved your restore code, entering it in FLUX brings your pilot back.
Moving to fluxsparta.com. When you open FLUX at its old address (flux-sparta-3.jeromevt72.workers.dev) in a browser tab, the game sends the FLUX settings, player identifier and personal bests stored there to our server once, so they can be copied into the same browser at fluxsparta.com; the server keeps them under a random one-time ticket and deletes them as soon as that ticket is used, and always within 10 minutes.
When you finish a run and a score is submitted, FLUX sends:
Our server additionally records the two-letter country code that Cloudflare reports for the connection, used as a fallback when you have not chosen a country. We do not store your IP address, and we do not store any device identifier, browser fingerprint, or user agent.
To protect the game from abuse, the server briefly counts requests using a one-way code made from your network address; the address itself is never stored, and these counters are discarded within a few minutes.
If you play offline, completed runs are held on your device and submitted when you reconnect.
The global leaderboard and the World Grid are public. Anyone can see your FLUX ID, score, level, difficulty, and country, along with a short public tag (for example SWIFT COMET 42 #K7Q2MX8) that tells apart players who have the same pilot name. Choose a pilot name you are comfortable showing publicly. Your player identifier is not displayed. The tag is derived from it by a one-way calculation, so the identifier cannot be worked out from the tag, and the tag is never used to prove who you are. If you clear your browser data you get a new player identifier, and with it a new tag.
FLUX installs a service worker that caches the game files on your device so it runs without a connection. The cache holds the game itself — HTML, icons and images. It does not cache leaderboard data, purchase data, or any server response about you.
Skins are purchased through Stripe. You enter your payment details on Stripe's own checkout page.
FLUX never receives your card number, expiry date, or security code. We receive from Stripe only a confirmation that a specific checkout session was paid, which we use to unlock the skin for your player identifier. Stripe's handling of your payment information is governed by Stripe's own privacy policy at stripe.com/privacy.
Purchase recovery. Purchases are linked to the player identifier stored on the device. FLUX does not provide accounts. The game menu shows a restore code for your pilot; entering that code in FLUX restores the pilot and the purchases linked to it, including on a new device. Anyone who has the code can use the pilot, so keep it private. If you lose both the restore code and your device data, we may not be able to restore your pilot or your purchases. The store will remain closed until this recovery process has been tested on real devices.
Stripe asks for your email address at checkout and sends you a receipt. FLUX does not store that email address. If you contact us about a purchase, we can use the email address you give us to look the purchase up in Stripe; it is used for that lookup only.
FLUX uses:
FLUX contains no third-party analytics, no advertising, no tracking pixels, and no
cookies for players. This was verified against the source: there is no Google
Analytics, no tag manager, no social pixel, no advertising ID, and no
document.cookie usage anywhere in the game or the Gateway.
The only cookie is a security cookie for the owner's admin login. It is set only when the owner signs in to the private admin page, keeps that sign-in secure, expires within 12 hours, and is never set for players.
To see whether FLUX is fun and which links bring players who come back, the game counts a few things on our own server (hosted on Cloudflare). No third-party analytics or tracking service is used, and nothing is used for advertising.
?src=tiktok or ?src=share). If the statistics cannot be sent (offline, blocked), the game simply carries on; nothing waits for them.
The player identifier is used only to run the game: keeping one leaderboard entry per pilot, remembering your best scores, applying the short cooldown between submissions, handling restore codes and purchases, keeping the leaderboard fair, answering deletion requests, and the anonymous in-house gameplay statistics described in section 9. It is never used for advertising, to build a profile of you, or to track you across other websites or apps, and it is never sold or shared for those purposes.
Leaderboard entries and purchase records are kept for as long as FLUX operates the leaderboard, so that standings remain accurate and purchases continue to work. If you ask us to remove an entry, we will remove it within 30 days of your request.
Backups. So that scores and purchases are not lost by accident, the leaderboard (the same information described above) is copied once a day into backup storage on the same service. The last 14 daily copies are kept, and any other copy for at most 28 days. When we act on a deletion request, your entry is removed from every backup copy at the same time.
Moderation records. To keep the leaderboard fair and free of abuse, we may keep:
You can remove everything stored on your device at any time by clearing your browser data or deleting FLUX from your Home Screen.
To request removal of a leaderboard entry or a purchase record, contact playfluxofficial@gmail.com and include your FLUX ID, its public tag if you know it (shown next to your name, for example #K7Q2MX8), and your approximate score. For a purchase, include the email address you used at Stripe checkout. We may be unable to identify your record without these, since FLUX itself holds no email address or account.
When we act on a deletion request, we erase your leaderboard entry and, if you ask, your purchase records. If your player is restricted, the restriction record described in section 11 is kept while the restriction is in force, because it could not otherwise be enforced.
Data is transmitted over HTTPS. Payment credentials go directly to Stripe and never pass through FLUX. Score submissions are checked for plausibility before being accepted.
No service can promise perfect security, and we do not claim to. FLUX currently trusts the score reported by your device, subject to those plausibility checks; it is a game leaderboard, not a system of record.
FLUX is a game for a general audience, and children may play it. FLUX is built so that nobody, of any age, has to give personal information to play. We collect no personal information beyond what is needed to run the game:
SWIFT COMET 42). A child can keep it and never type anything. A
typed name can only be one word of letters and numbers, up to 12 characters,
so a full name cannot be entered, and names that look like an email address,
phone number or web link are refused.Parents and guardians can ask us to remove a child's leaderboard entry by
emailing playfluxofficial@gmail.com
with the pilot name and, if you can, its public tag (for example
#K7Q2MX8). We will remove it within 30 days, and sooner where we
can.
FLUX is available worldwide and is hosted on Cloudflare's global network, so information may be processed in countries other than your own.
Wherever you live, you may ask to see the information FLUX holds about you, or ask us to delete it, by emailing playfluxofficial@gmail.com with your pilot name. We will respond within 30 days. We do not sell your information. We keep only what the game needs to run its leaderboard and to honour your purchases.
If this policy changes, the effective date above will change. Material changes will be noted on the FLUX Gateway.
